WHAT YOU SHOULD TELL SOLUDO FOR NIGERIANS Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI

Image
I just engaged myself to reading the trending response of Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, the Governor of Anambra State, on the social media reactions to his earlier conversation on Channels TV. Empty as it sincerely is, I can tell you that Soludo is lost in the streams of his hate, bitterness and envy. He was all out to disdain his kinsman and I think the motive is not far fetched. His accusing Mr. Peter Obi for unleashing social media attacks on him or anyone that is against him is so unfounded as nobody can be ascribed with the powers of controlling the wind. What is happening in Nigerian political space at the moment is a torrential response of the people to their environment. A classical expression of being organisms and more to it humans who respond to stimulus. Painfully, the professor turned politician chose his words carelessly. If also Prof. Soludo could refer to the angst of the masses and their whims to redirect the leadership of Nigeria from misgovernance and maladmin

OUR GOVERNMENT IS A CRIMINAL; WE NEED RIGHTS EDUCATION. Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI

Image
The level of institutional crimes in Nigeria is too high. Unfortunately, the government and her law enforcement agencies are into crimes as well. Of course, failure to do your job is corruption and when it has to do with going against the law, that is clearly criminal. How on earth do you explain why petrol stations shut down and do not sell fuel on the pretence that they do not have products but touts and illegal people are selling fuel around. We normalise the abnormal in Nigeria and we give them names to accept them. Please, what is black market fuel directly being sold in front of the petrol filling station that has closed shop for lack of stock? If only our so called anti-corruption agencies are working, these should be the first call to curb crimes and criminalities. But what do we see? These folks have no licenses, they lack knowledge of the risks involved in the trade, they have no safety measures and indeed are engaging in purely illegal activities. Our government looks elsewh

WHY I MAKE MY KIND OF POLITICAL SUPPORT.

Image
Many a politician have called in to ask me how and why I usually make the kind of decisions I make in terms of the type of candidates I present to my audience. A lot more friends have also chosen to see me as an enemy because of how I press hard on my candidates and choices. For them, I do not allow any other views. It is tyrannical to them and unaccountable. One of the essential difference I have with other political class is that I do not support with victory at the polls as the end. Winning in an election for me is a means to an end. And guess what the end is to me? I will tell you as we drive down.  In my deepest consciousness and subconscious state, I have tried countless times to apply the tools of philosophical objectivism on myself using the scales of phenomenological epoche or bracketing of phenomenology. I have searched myself and my mind to find out why I do what I do and why I decide to support the type of candidates I support. I could find only one answer to the reason why

ANGER AND VIOLENCE IN MARRIAGE: THE DUTY OF REASONING BEFORE ACTION. Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI

Image
Marriage loses its meaning the moment a husband or wife lifts his or her hand against the partner. The question before that should be; what is marriage and what's the import of love in it? I pray each day that no matter my sins, God should please let me live sane. Again, please what's the essence of beating someone? A child, student, or ward is beaten for correction. Even at some point, it's useless and meaningless to beat for correction. Let's also accept that beating is punishment. But again, why do we punish? What is the reason for punishment if not to correct except for capital punishment? All punishments are for either incapacitation, deterrence, retribution, protection, restoration, rehabilitation, reformation, reparation or restitution. In the foregoing are also found the reason for death sentence. If no punishment is reasonable enough to deter the offender, protect the society, rehabilitate, retribute, restitute and recompense for the offence, then such offence

NIGERIA IS THE MOST BADLY MANAGED ENTITY IN THE WORLD TODAY: THE ESCRAVOS WORLD RECORD CRUDE OIL THEFT (CRIME) AT THE SPOTLIGHT.

Image
Fellow country men and women, a none state actor and private security outfit led by Tompolo has just discovered a sophisticated channel and platform through which millions of barrels of crude oil are illegally acquired and stolen from Nigeria everyday. This has lasted for slightly above 40 years now as stated by an industry expert. Bear in mind along with me in this journey of mind that these young locals are not professionals, they have not been trained by the Nigerian government, they have not enjoyed the luxury of training and suchlike as relished by the retinue of Nigerian security offices like the Nigerian Armed Forces (Army, Navy and Air Force), the Nigerian Police Force (NPF), the Department of State Security (DSS), the Immigration Service, the National Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC), etc. But let us continue.  So from the discovery of Tompolo & Company, it means that Nigeria has lost approximately one million (1,000,000) barrels of crude oil per day for the last 40

OBIDIENTS: A NEW NIGERIAN IDENTITY Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI

Image
From the ashes of Nigeria From the abandonment of the olds From the destruction of the land From the relics of our frazzled greatness From the trampled sum of our grace From the disgrace of our pride From the desolate feat of our heroes It's yet a time to resound hope It's yet a time to rekindle allure It's yet a time to rise up in wisdom To the youths of Nigeria I give it To our mothers and fathers I say Turn not your love from your children Never abandon the salvation call Nigeria on her way to being saved Let Nigerians now think along this; We shall henceforth produce We shall turn our strength away From consumption to production Let this be our new creed and song This is a sound of peace and unity  And the wind of greatness blows Nigeria shall be great again Nigeria shall be greater in our time Rise up oh Compatriots! It's a time to be sure ours counts In our decision to rebuild Nigeria It's our collective resolve that matters From the ruins of this land Its gre

WHO WILL HELP ME FAST-FORWARD THIS REGIME. Written by Prof. Godfrey O. Ozumba

Image
Before now I had held my peace counting down on the days left for this administration to wind down. Each passing day increased the tempo of my joy. Because, this meant that our days of captivity are reducing. But, you know what, with the opening of the recent can of worms concerning our Accountant General, followed by  NIMAMSA Chair alleged to have cornered our patrimony to the tune of billions and trillions respectively, I became sick and bewildered. The one year left for this  administration now seems an eternity for me. This is why I am looking for someone who will help me fast-forward this regime and bring it to an abrupt close before we all perish.  As if those were not enough another news came that one Nsima Ekere stole his billions, then, came Senator Okorocha now in EFCC for also stealing his own billions. This thriving competition of stealing now in billions and trillions should bother every well meaning Nigerian. This is the reason why our government cannot and will never be

THE CRIMINALS IN OUR UNIVERSITIES ARE THE MANAGERS! Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI

Image
I blame the government for their weakness, irresponsibility, insensitivity and crass failure to protect the Nigerian University Students and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU). One would have blamed ASUU for fighting the wrong person if he or she doesn't understand the runnings of the university system here in Nigeria. Let me shock you a little with how irresponsible our government is; The government say that our federal universities are tuition free. In fact, in my days in the university, I usually take cognizance of the breakdown of the fees on my receipts. I will always see tuition fees as either #100 or so. That actually was supposed to be all the fees paid by any undergraduate in any of our federal universities. But what happens? The university administration takes all manner of fees running into tens of thousands then and create further avenues for more money like, remedials, consultancy, Diplomas, and so on. They take exorbitant fees across departments and facil

WHY SEN. BOLA AHMED TINUBU AND ALHAJI ATIKU ABUBAKAR WILL FALL AT THE RISE OF MR. PETER OBI IN 2023. Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI

Image
I said it earlier that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is here in 2023 to learn national politics. Nigeria is definitely not Lagos State. He doesn't have the national spread and exposure. Appointing people from different tribes or states in Nigeria is not having the requisite knowledge and exposure. Boom! He chose Sen. Kashim Shettima as his running mate. This man has heavy baggage on his back and will complicate issues for Tinubu. He was on the national TV talking like a teddy bear before the presidential primary election where he was busy insulting the Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo. While those who don't understand sanity were clapping, some of knew it was already a bad omen for whoever he is drumming support for. And to worsen all, the arrogance he shares with Tinubu made them to take Nigerians for granted by fielding Muslim-Muslim ticket. Same faith ticket is not acceptable to Nigerians and especially at the moment. Maybe at some other time when religion is

MY UNCHANGING STAND ON THE IPOB, ESN AND THE EVILS OF UNKNOWN GUNMEN. Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI

Image
I am unapologetic to the world on my biases towards the consciousness of Biafra and the pursuit of her dreams as a people. I say this as an Igbo son whose life, at one point or the other, has been touched and affected by the idea of Biafra. Along my genealogy, fathers, uncles, aunties, brothers and sisters were killed, raped, dehumanised, humiliated, subjugated and rendered to the earth in ignominy by the reality of the Civil War - the Biafran War. Every Igbo son or daughter has something to say about Biafra, good or bad. We grew to have our identity shaped and woven around the happenings and activities of the Biafran people who were massacred by Nigerian soldiers during that war. We were told that a few soldiers, in their actions, killed people and fellow Nigerian citizens who were in the hold of political power. The Nigerian government and people turned around to blame it on a race - the entire Igbo people in the world. They moved out for destruction and annihilation of the tribe an

WHEN DEATH IS DEAD Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI

Image
Speak to me oh wind of love Take your grip deeper to my essence Feel my heart with the burning fire Such flames that melt the heart for good That I met set my eyes on humanity And see just good, love and kindness If I see today, let the light be love The power of my sight and the guts Consume me and tender me to good Do not defile my being with hate That which kills from its birth Grow my heart upon the grasses Such grasses the raise seeds Oh spirit of love, if you must be evil Get me a fool that harms no heart Make me a slave to just a lover That my organs fill her cup Time and again with lives as fruits I shall sing you a song That which fades not in an age As the minds burns it forever Let me dance to your heart beat Oh beautiful being found in my heart  That we sing, dance and fade off Fade into eternity and live forever

ON ASUU AND THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT: THE GOVERNMENT IS THE CULPRIT PLEASE. Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI

Image
I do not blame the unclear intentioned ASUU in any way. This is not to exonerate them. I do not know what ASUU wants, I do not understand the depth of their cleanliness and I do not have so much blame for them, if any. ASUU members sell admissions, they publish unresearched pieces in the name of handouts, they sell the empty handouts to students, they force their students to buy the books, they extort students, they sell results, they sleep with their students for marks, and much more. The university administration does not account to anyone of the school fees paid by students, they do not account to anyone for the several fees and bills paid by the students, most universities have no accommodation for the students, and the universities net in billions of Naira from the fees and bills paid by the students. Every now and then, we hear and read university Vice Chancellors being in EFCC cells for financial crimes running into billions and they end up walking home and nothing happens. ASUU
