The heavens braced with tears The rocks trembled aimlessly The sky got gloom and shy And fame was set to defame  Then they came with shame Yes! The world will They will honour the young Those who've just done noble They lifted hope and sank fears What is historic even to heroes And Lekki Gate they Toll was the garden The souls of young Nigerians were planted And their blood watered the future of all Those were the heroes and not victims The nation is put into mourning It's by those who ought keep them safe The throne and the vigil men They took the lives of their keepers Casting away lights out of lives It's a harrowing shame!
