HOW IGBO APGA MEMBERS CAN SUPPORT WINNING EDO GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION. Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI

HOW IGBO APGA MEMBERS CAN SUPPORT WINNING EDO GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION We need a rally or face to face chat with Igbos in Edo state. Statistics hold that 48% of the 1.9 million PVC holders  in Edo State are Igbos. That amounts to about 912,000 voters. I bet you that the winner of Edo State gubernatorial election will not get up to 400,000 votes. The clear fact is that with the slogan that APGA is Igbo party alone, Edo state will be comfortably won. I know that the slogan is no more fashionable in APGA since it is a national party but it can be accepted just for this purpose since all we want is to gain power in Edo state. Like our debate the last time on that slogan, certain view held that APGA should be sold to all tribes and ethnic groups in Nigeria with such idea. What that simply means is that we are giving ownership of the party to the local people. Like we have severally asserted, Edo state is possible. We have been on ground and we know that we just need a little more w

APGA COMMITS TO WINNING EDO STATE, FORMS CRACKDOWN TEAM. Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI

In what seems a political assault to diminish the importance of the insignificant few who left the party's executive in Edo State some days ago, the National leadership of APGA has constituted a team of political experts to manage the campaigns of her candidate in the Edo gubernatorial election. The team tagged AD-HOC COMMITTEE FOR EDO GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION was commissioned with a mandate to put in everything to deliver the party's flagbearer Earl Osaro Onaiwu as the Governor of Edo State in the near election. He continued "This step has become inevitable considering

EDO ELECTION: THE IGBO FACTOR By EMEKA NWAGWUNA

EDO ELECTION: THE IGBO FACTOR By EMEKA NWAGWUNA As campaigns leading up to the September 28th Edo gubernatorial election reaches feverish pitch, so many factors will definitely determine the outcome. Prominent among them is the number of registered Igbo voters in Edo state. INEC’s record reveals that the number of registered Igbo voters constitute about 48% of total registered voters in Edo. The implications of this figure are copious and have the capacity of determining who emerges winner in the September elections. Igbos in Edo must be united in a concerted effort with other Edo progressives to take advantage of this demography so that the candidate that will best serve their interest emerges victorious. For instance, it is true that Igbos are kings of trade and commerce in Nigeria. Therefore any government whether state or federal that neglects this existential fact by not making plans for trade and commerce to thrive is directly marginalizing Ndigbo. This is the exact sta

SALLAH: ONAIWU SUES FOR PEACE AND SACRIFICE. By The SOLUTION TEAM

The candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the 2016 Governorship Election in Edo State, Earl Osaro Onaiwu has called on Muslims in the State to pray for the emancipation of Edo State from the scourge of bad leadership that has affected its progress since 1999. The governorship candidate made the call in a Sallah message signed by one of his media aides, Mr. Christopher Okagbare to mark this year's Eid-El-Kabir celebraions across the state. He said Edo State has been plagued with the menace of self serving leaders which has plunged the state into a critical economic situation. He called on the Muslim communities in Edo State to come together and play an active role in rescuing and building a better Edo State where development will thrive. Mr. Onaiwu commended Muslims in the state for living in harmony with their Christian brothers and sisters. He asked the Muslim Umrah in Edo State to consolidate on the prevailing peace they have maintained in the state over
