PIECES OF OUR WORLD Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI

Image
Once was of peace and love Health of lifestyle and body Good of our mind and others We cared less of next moment They were just safe and safe The bombs and more weapons The hatred even bitterness Worthlessness of human life Humans and objects now are one Think no difference and spot none Our world disintegrated Our existence shatters Our hopes are jittery Our dreams in furious fears Our all in unfounded pieces Who mends the world This world is in pieces

THE BIRTH OF FATHER BELLO AND OUR PRAYERS! Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI

Image
HE Elder Isaac Bello  (Father Bello)  And we celebrate greatness Just in the service of God As in the service to mankind With meekness and valour He wins the war unscathed  Warrior of souls and minds Husbandman in God's vineyard Breeder and harvester of souls Father of God's children To wizards, he must be a wizard  A terrorist to necromancers Torment to soothsayers Destructive tool against sorcerers And to demons, he ought be big demon  Singer of victory and triumph Dear Father Lord God Bless our Father Bello Lift his hands unto glory Grant him your holiness Uphold him against evils And protect him always In the years ahead oh Lord  Guide his footsteps Guard him in all spheres Grant him life in length Garment him with your wealth Keep him in the good sea of health  And for his dear sake Let the world worship you  It's our prayer and plea Your sanction is all we pray And that through Christ  As heaven says AMEN. In commemoration of the birthd...

IPOB PURSUITS AND THE EMPLOY OF ENWISDOMIZED CHARTS Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI

Image
It was the Greek Philosopher of the golden era of Western philosophy, Socrates, who espoused a maxim which states; "Man know thyself". Socrates went further in his ethical pronouncements and espousals to assert that "an unexamined life is not worth living". These are very important statements to ruminate upon especially in the actions, inactions, activities and acts of the IPOB. The import is simple, succinct and clear; the mode of operation of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), now more than ever, needs re-examination, reevaluation, review and reassessment. It has become increasingly important to begin to put questions to the right quarters by self inquiries in order to find out in comparison of the merits and demerits of the recent style of the group. This must be done by themselves and none other.  This has become very necessary for the purposes of the health of the Igbo land and her people. Especially so for the "reason to be" of the IPOB. Why usu...

WHAT WE MAY NEVER KNOW Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI

Image
The finest of all substances Its tenderness and charm The vigour of its meekness Its dazzling allure and all Give me a bleeding heart And I'll tell you unheard truth It carries joy as its nature Never huts and never worries Never lend me a broken heart Though it's a great gift None could dare ignore it Though in need, it calms Raising the body from mind Tickling emotions never seen Raging in fiery fascination Taming all wishes of war Love is a beautiful demon Hurts in the joy of its life Cries in the life of its excess Hurling at its wants forever Craving and never ending Smiles even at death point But never losing each war Is anyone known in love? Does that not look foolish? Isn't such a happy being? Dose of it grants immortality But love kills the good It gives the dying peace It is what we don't know It is what we may never know If I'm asked; it's the life of death

HOW WELL TO BE A BAD OPPOSITION! Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI

Image
It is sore pedestrian and preposterously childish to be quibbling about the dress of Mr. President than the substance and import of his visit to Imo State albeit Igbo land especially at this precarious time. Though I seem to view the visit as ill timed, however the very concern of every reasonable child of Igbo race on this particular visit should be; what did he come to do? Did he come for peace or to ridicule? Did he come with sincere goal or to mock the people of Imo State and Ndị Igbo? Very important also is the utilization of the visit by the Ọhaneze Ndịgbo to press for the release and freedom of the Igbo youths and people held captive in all the facilities of the Federal and other governments in Nigeria at present. Major concern of every right thinking son and daughter of Igbo land should be how this message was passed to Mr. President and how he received it. Again, what are his responses to the requests and ambitions of the people who met with him on these notes? If the only thi...

DEFENDING OKEUDO EZIUDO AGAINST KINGSHIP CLOWNING: EZE ỌNỤ OTILE. Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI

Image
Let me remark at this beginning that at any day that our land will be humiliated and our great men flattened as weaklings, our mothers mercilessly raped and our daughters violated, I will not stand in awe and confusion, I will never negotiate for peace, I will discard and banish my cap of thinking and the only wisdom I will take up is a bloody fight unto death in absolute defence of our sanctity and inviolability. Even in defence of those who wish to disgrace our common existence today either by action or inaction, direct involvement or aloofness of treachery, or even sleep feigning. Keep it as a vow today between us, I will fight for you all! As a growing child in Umuokoro Ikenga Okeudo Eziudo, I remember and can recall vividly when a Dede (an elder brother) gets himself so stupid before children, we usually hear this statement; Dede, Dede, whe iji lọ ụwa wụ otu amaguru shi. That was the highest level of disdain and insult an elder can receive from younger folks. And this also reminds...

NOTHINGNESS OF HUMANITY By KEMKA S. IBEJI

Image
Whatever human is; it's nothing The beauty, fame and frame The strength, vigour and power Wealth, taste, class and allure The dashing skin will wrinkle The built will weaken The beauty journey into fading The stern limbs begin to tremble The firm arms shiver in shake Vigour, virility and voice will wane Money and diamonds are valueless Everything will be taken by nature Till nature takes humanity at last And humanity again is nothingness

AS HISTORY BECKONS IN ANAMBRA TOMORROW; ALL EYES ON CHIEF BEN ETIABA. Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI

Image
When stars are set to shine, they shimmer. When the sun wants to rise, it deems. When the rains want to shower, they drop. When greatness is to be bestowed, it puts up wonders. And when history is about to be made, nature singles out someone humble, meek, unnoticed, noiseless but exceedingly endowed. No wonder the Darwinian evolutionary theory could figure the fittest to survive in the play of natural selection. The philosophical ontology of social Darwinism rests on the endowment of the fittest with the abundance of the grace to so rise from the thug of war into survival. The entire prelude is an expression and description of a man that has stood the storm of quiescence and has enriched himself with wisdom of supra leadership and tact. Ornamented with qualities only found in great world leaders, Chief Ben Etiaba is the next Governor of Anambra State. It has therefore become imperative to now spread the knowledge of this benevolent victor to the hoi-polloi of Anambra State. Indeed, God...

THE PICTURES OF OUR LEADERS IN WORDS. Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI

Image
I read from a friend's wall here that the government is about to privatise over 12 highways this week. According to the post, the author alludes that such action by the government will raise revenue for the government. Now I ask; What do you mean when you say revenues please? Is it not still straining the poor road users the more and squeezing out the little money the government haven't stolen and embezzled from them? What's the economics of this privatisation please? Is it privatisation or commercialisation? Or is it extortion and subjugation of the common citizens? I want to learn. My thinking is that the government lacks creativity amidst their insatiable and unguarded avarice. Those in power are not knowledgeable on the skills of the astute management of the commonwealth and will. They are largely persons who ate without working while growing up, whose lives have been smooth and sweet and who have suffered nothing and have also gained nothing in the knowledge of the oth...

THINK ABOUT BEN ETIABA IN AGU AWKA (NOVEMBER, 2021)!!! Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI

Image
Ebube went across seven rivers and countless mountains. There he could commune with spirits of revelation and inspiration. He was gifted with many valuable acquisitions for humans and his community. All that never happened without a few wars won. He fought down grave monsters and evil beings along the paths and made sure he arrived the destination of crown at set time. Yes, he was punctual and disciplined. At return to the city of men, he was greeted with such warmth that only those who don't really know someone give. Yes, they still know him as Ebube but unknown to them, he is now a gifted hero. Gifted to rule mankind and humanity with grace and unimaginable benevolence, tact and skills.  Here comes a gifted hero to Ndị Anambra who has conquered ignorance and made himself wealthy with ideas for the growth of the land. With a few words and more at heart, he has set the plans of good for his people. Just like Ebube and to many, he is just Chief Ben Etiaba but to the world, he is a h...

THE PICTURES OF NIGERIA TODAY. Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI

Image
The government is complacent and crime aiding. They kept mute and gave tacit support to the Miyetti Allah terrorists when they were terrorising all parts of Nigeria. Everyone called on the government to act but instead the government killed the people in pains. The government cleared the way for the murderers of her own citizens. Miyetti Allah became the unvoted government and mounted all corners of Nigeria commanding minds. Boko Haram has pillaged the land for years. The government while in opposition defended them and promised to put an end to it once elected. It is already six years and counting but things have gone worse instead. The government has done nothing seriously but encouraging the terrorists by giving them amnesty, scholarships, jumbo pays, ransom, sponsorships, empowerments, aids and recruitment into the military. Our government has demoralised her own military while boosting the morale of the cheap, uneducated, frail looking, malnourished and worthless criminals. The...

OUR LEADERS SERVE THE SELF Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI

Just early in the morning Even as I wake to daylights From the shimmering morning rays To the blistering noon shines Then the soothing departing glimpses They serve not themselves It's all about others and all  It rains on all and sundry Washing off the unwanted Refreshing all things possible Adding strength to nature And power to humanity It just serves others and all The sweet breezes Sauntering our cardinal points With grace and glamour Giving to life all it could offer It does it so joyously Just for all matter and all The trees have done even theirs Carrying the winds in their arms Their services are for all The lilies and roses? Their fragrance and allure Who do they not bless From the butterflies to maggots Don't they pollinate and farm? Their works we know are for all The bee and the termites They and others feed and nourish us The sun and moon They warm and brighten others The rains water and winds refresh The tress and flowers spread Flies and ants do their bits Can y...

ERRORS IN SCIENCE Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI

For any years and in the world of academics, it was and has been erroneously held for too many immeasurable years that mathematics is the most precise science. Out of fact and less than the same, it is clearly acceptable that amongst the sciences, mathematics sincerely enjoys more precision than any other species of the sciences especially when the term 'sciences' is delimited to the studies which rely essentially on the provisions and knowledge got through empiricism. By empiricism I wish to mean all knowledge got through sense experience or sensation. The errors in science which have taken up some knocks from my concern and logical investigation is the overboard or expanded supposition of scientific understanding of that cliché; "mathematics is the most precise science". Whereas the statement is true, its understanding especially by the science world is largely false. The falsehood derives her faulty strengths from assuming, first, that all sciences are precise. Thi...

THE ESSENCE OF LOGIC IN MEDICINE AND THE SCIENCES. Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI

Sometime in 2006 while undergoing my National Service under NYSC, I got into an argument with a friend who was in Religion unit of my then Department of Religious Studies and Philosophy. I spoke with Jeriks Utchman for some moment and he was merely attacking my personality than the issue of our concern; HIV and AIDS. In university, he was my very good friend and we respected each other very well. But this discussion had him tell me that I was very unreasonable and unteachable. Throughout the discussion, he totally went off the topic and could use all fallacies - imaginable and unimaginable. Get this at the back of your mind; he was a member of PET CDS Group. This group was a community development service group under NYSC then. Their aim was teaching the corps members about the HIV and AIDS; how it worked and killed people. I could simply say that it was a religion and dogma infuser which aimed at just getting our young minds bigoted. It did! So while discussing with my friend Jeriks an...

AS OUR GOVERNMENT BREWS A SELF CONSUMING CATACLYSM, TRUDGES INTO THE STATUS OF ENDANGERED SPECIES Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI

Image
KEMKA S. IBEJI  I have had enough time to watch our country Nigeria and her governments in sequence since the renascent democracy in 1999, it is one fact rich in horror to state that the future is so bleak and uncertain with regards to being positive. It will be a judgement of the sick to declare this position a doomsday prophecy. A country that her leadership thinks nothing else but stealing, cheating, embezzlement, graft, illicit riches and unguarded avarice. Nothing is considered about the future. No thought is spared on adequate and focused education. Our cultures are never touched in the light of globalisation and so they are fast going into oblivion. Not even a language in Nigeria is made to be scientific. All we have everywhere are murderers of our value systems and destroyers of moral uprightness. Excellence is on serial death row and capacity is sentenced to infinite abandonment. While we got admitted into the university at the eve and birth of the new millennium, we were ...

THE ANIMAL CALLED IDIOT AND THE MYOPIC MENTAL FACULTY OF OUR LEADERS. Written by Prince MacDonald Enwere

Image
Hedgehog popularly known as Idiot is an awkward looking spiny mammal which belongs to the subfamily of Erinaceinae and the family of Eulipotyphlan. They are mainly found in Europe, Asia, Africa and New Zealand. Idiot or Hedgehog has a common ancestry with Shrew. Like many other first Mammals , they have adapted to a nocturnal way of life. Idiots have a spiny protective feature like that of Porcupines which they use for defense especially during extreme distress.  Their spines are not poisonous like that of Porcupines. One of the distinguishing features of Idiot is that they are born blind. They have a very shallow mentality. This is the main reason why they always cover their faces with their hands, always feeling shy all the times. Their shallow mentality makes them to easily fall prey to their predators.  While other animals strive for survival they always mope about achieving nothing on daily basis.  Incredibly, some human beings are like Idiots with profound intellect...

THE STORY OF OLD MAXWELL OF UMUEGWU Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI

Slightly aged, he was so reticent and taciturn. He preferred to live in solitude. Scarcely looked up to see your face and overtly disinterested in what your duties and games were all about. He would seem to be unperturbed and very unconcerned about goings on in the community and his environment. We saw him walk down the seaside always with all solemnity and all reverence of calmness, he rarely looked at any faces. The particular wonder was his especial abandonment of all entreaties, pleasantries and cheers. As if he was already telling you to keep your greetings to yourselves; he never responded to any greetings. No matter how loud you greeted, old Maxwell never responded. Not even in the softest nod or wink. Never! I am very sure that many carefree young people will pass him for a deaf or dumb or both. Yes, and they would have allowed him go without bothering why he never responded to their greetings. Surely, they would have taken him for someone impaired in natural speech or some old...

AMAZING BAD gOD Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI

Image
It was our thinking to build Yes, to build a heaven on earth He came to us painted as god Yes he came as one earthly one He talked angelic and suitable He looked tough to our fears Our wish was a killer of our fears Our fears will be killed alas It was all dream and we now pray Yes we pray that we get awake Let it be over, leave us now Oh god of the north Dressed by the west Bought by few in the east Hallowed by the south When is your leave? You're mute in times of words You act in one-sided spirit Your skills were our worship You actually have lost them Lost before you came on Lost to age or something else To whom we may not know To where we may never be told But we never knew... Your honesty and firmness Your hate for wrongs Your thirst to deter and  Your gusto to stop the bad Your fame for all things good Can I tell you something? They're all gone from you They're all vanished into nothing You've fertilized hate Fed fat discrimination Nourished wrong favours Served f...
