THE CELEBRATION OF SUBSIDY REMOVAL IS A SIGN OF SIGNIFICANT NATIONAL MADNESS AND A TERRIBLE EXPRESSION OF IGNORANCE. Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI
Subsidy removal is not a blessing to Nigerians. It is an expression of weakness, incompetence and ignorance of the skills to govern Nigeria and protect Nigerians from criminals and outlaws by the government. Those who celebrate the subsidy removal are largely people who are not enlightened and those who don't know that subsidy was actually a means of sharing the blessings of God with the people and citizens of Nigeria whom God blessed with the crude oil.
Our society is unfortunately led and guided by those who don't love us. Our education and public space are manned and occupied by people who lack both character and learning. It's ridiculous to wake up each day ready folks celebrating the subsidy removal as a good thing. I think we all should be crying for that instead.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has caused so much pains and cruelty to the citizens of Nigeria in such a manner that even the devil, Muhammadu Buhari, is being appreciated. Such an incredibly dull and unintelligent clown as Goodluck Jonathan is even trying to return to power because there's someone like Tinubu in power. Of course, when you have seen the worst you begin to honour the bad.
We need knowledgeable people in government. The Greek Philosopher, Socrates, asserted that knowledge is vurtue which implies that knowledge leads to good behaviour and doing the right things. One may argue that our current leaders are highly educated with degrees and even some of them are Professors. That's true but remember that academic badge is crested upon two cardinal pinpoints; CHARACTER and LEARNING. In primacy and preference, character comes before learning.
Irrespective of your learning, your degrees, your academic qualifications, if you don't have a good character, they're all useless. And again, learning without character doesn't amount to knowledge. A vital aspect of knowledge is action. There's no knowledge without its practical play.
Our woes are expressed in our abundance of ignorance, learning without character, lack of knowledge and the loss of values that have taken over the stage of our leadership at almost all levels.
If this is untrue, how on earth can a people be applauding the removal of subsidy in Nigeria by a mean, wicked, unreasonable, heartless, incompetent, intelligent and cowardly government that mounted the power vehicles from the points of deceit, lies, misinformation, propaganda and misgivings.
The misrule and misgovernance of Mr. Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC is the darkest age of Nigeria's existence and shall be recorded in history as an age of worthlessness.
God save Nigeria!
