AND FINALLY, HERE COMES THE AWAITED DAY... Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI

For months now, this impasse has kept Imo State at a standstill. This has affected Imo State negatively and it is not our wish.
So far, I have given all my support to Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha. This is not done out of hatred against Sen. Hope Uzodinma. My decision is, to the best of my knowledge, for the good of the entire Imo State. My idea here is that Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha is more prepared and ready to give better and qualitative leadership to Imo State. This is my personal view and conviction though I do not arrogate omniscient to myself in this judgement.
In this support to Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, I have given my all and have also done my bit to ensure that what I think is right and best for Ndị Imo is done. This is to make sure that the Supreme Court reviews her judgment and delivers justice to the people of Imo State.
This I have done without any other intention or interest than the good of Ndị Imo. I do not expect anything from either Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha or Sen. Hope Uzodinma except good leadership for our people. Our security and welfare, education, human resources development and enhancement of skilled manpower, infrastructure, egalitarianism, equity, objective leadership and other good dividends of democracy.
I, however, do this as an individual who is not attached to either of the two gladiators in political partisanship. Before the deregistration of United Progressive Party (UPP) with other 73 political parties by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), I was a strong member of the UPP and remanded as such. At the moment, it is a time to move as the party has been stripped of legal personage. It is ripe to make a declaration to my followers and team. This is founded on very strenuous, rigorous and wide consultations especially with the good of our people being central and masterpiece.
I wish to inform our people and my followers that whatever happens today at the Supreme Court, I shall be making my next political abode known to all. The judgment of today has no influence on my decision. Though with obvious knowledge, we have just two (2) political parties in Nigeria as at today, but my choice is definitely not inclining to those whose candidate I give my support for the day.
I give my support to Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha to win today. I have lent my knowledge, my resources, my time and my knowhow but the rest is for God. In my political involvement and foray, I have come to realize that power belongs to God and so whichever way it goes today, it is to the glory of God and I will urge our people to rest.
I will, nevertheless, not be joining the PDP even if Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha wins today. But I assure you that my next political party affiliation will bring healthier opposition, greater development, rousing and starling leadership qualities to our people in Mbaise, Imo State, Igbo land and Nigeria at large. It however is going to be a pedestal to mount the stage for African leadership for the good of our Race - all Black people across the world.
I wish Ndị Imo well and the best today. And I pray the will of God prevails.
God bless us all.
I am,
KEMKA S. IBEJI
