HME Dr G.I.M Otubu 
My benefactor and guardian, His Most Eminence Elder Dr. G.I.M Otubu was the Praying Father of Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim and Seraphim from 1985 to 2004. A son of Oghara in Delta State of Nigeria.

He was an Industrialist, an Entrepreneur, a Professional, a wealth creator, an employer of labour, a Chartered Accountant of international repute, a business thinker and a priest per excellence. He was the pioneer Chairman of Zenith Bank Plc. He founded the bank and employed Jim Ovia as a staff at the management level as the MD. Though Jim technically pushed him off later on and took over the bank, he was an entrepreneur of repute. The bank employed and still employs thousands of Nigerians today who earn their livelihood working in the bank.

HME Dr. G.I.M Otubu established SENFORCE Insurance Brokers and many other business outfits which employed many including one of his sons who eventually rose to become the Managing Director of the SENFORCE Insurance company. That his son Mr. Dere Otubu today is the Chairman of STARCO INSURANCE COMPANY. They employ a lot of Nigerians and touch families for good.

In 1993, we read that HME Dr. G.I.M Otubu bought and gave a Fighter Jet as a gift to the Federal Government of Nigeria. It was part of his Corporate Social Responsibility; a way of giving back to the society. He saw the need for that in the country as at that time and it was for the benefit of all Nigerians.

At his time and age, he was known as the richest Priest in Nigeria. His wealth was indeed from his chain of businesses across the globe.

HME Dr. G.I.M Otubu was the father of charity. Every Sunday after church service, you could see the long queue of beggars who come for alms. He will never leaved the Church without attending to them one after the other and they return to their families in joy. The same goes to Church members and outsiders who come to be helped.

His scholarship program spanned across the world as well over 200,000 students across nations were sponsored by him. I enjoyed from it a little before he died in 2004. Many of us as students were wards under His Most Eminence. He was our father.

If you have your Visa to any country and you do not have the money for flight ticket, once you meet Dr. G.I.M Otubu there was no difference from God answering your prayers.

He trained many in businesses and empowered many as well. He employed many in his establishments and also created jobs and wealth through his empowerment programs.

Many families relied on him for their daily bread till breeds a breadwinner for them. No wonder it was a flame of dirge and a sacrifice of grief when his death was announced in 2004.

For one day, HME Dr. G.I.M Otubu never drove a very expensive car and never flew a Private Jet let alone to own one. His problem was to make men and women who will live the life worthy of Christ and earn heaven at last. Of course, he never owned the Church as the leadership before and after him are perfected by God through the prayers of the Holy Order.

He was indeed a Man of God! He made souls for God and for heaven. He lived for everyone; the poor, the rich, the rejected and the abandoned. He gave light and hope to the wretched out of whom he created millionaires and billionaires today. I know many of them around the country and abroad today.

At his death in 2004, he drove just a Caravan Space Bus. He was not into exotic lifestyle but was lowly and Christlike. In this, he was also creating wealth, spreading same and making many earn good living. God bless your soul Dr. G.I.M Otubu

What else does it mean to be a Christian?

Today, our former wretched and poor brother born again Christians have taken to the life of wanton and senseless pride and luxury. Jesus Christ teaches us of a life of moderation whereby we should live that it can be a worthy one.

Pastors and priests of nowadays worship mammon and opulence. They encourage all sorts of crime in as much as it is bringing money to the coffers or the Church.

It is no longer Christlike to pastor a church or evangelize without owning a Private Jet. It is obvious that those who were to be "Men of God" and now "gods of Men".

In Philosophy of the Sciences, a school of thought led by Karl Popper held that the methodology of the sciences is "Conjectures and Refutations".  But in a general consideration of philosophical methods, we recall a vibrant philosophical methodology called Dialects. Most Philosophy Scholars refer to this method as the Socratic Method.
