MAROONED BY VISION Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI

Just got up the bed feeling lost
It's midnight, black skies and wind
I'm all thoughts and nothing
I'm lonely in my world, obviously
It feels no one cares, none will

Guts drove me in here
Dreams of changing our world
Maybe, to impact it significantly
Being employed? Not me anymore
I'll create opportunities, make wealth

This country bites, it bites harder
Feeding feels like a luxury
Clothes're merely to cover the back
It's tough now to venture or learn
The earth's roofs must be crumbling
Probably on myself alone

I've got not the wealth
Not the fame or name
Knowledge is harder to chase
This is just a midpoint dilemma
Dready to go on or get back
Ashamed to see loved ones
Is this failure or temptation?
Like I'm abandoned by dreams

Been shouting, no one hears me
Been asking but help's nowhere
To fight on, hope sounds dead
Just vision led my way here
But has abandoned me, likely
Or that's what my mind thinks

My eyes are fixed on victory
My hope's run out of urge
My heart beats with mixed zest
Help or not, I'll fight on
But here is yet a wonderland
