CELEBRATING THE FATHER OF NIGERIAN DEMOCRACY DAY: PROF. HUMPHREY NWOSU

On this day, 12th June, I celebrate this Noble Man - Prof. Humphrey Nwosu - who conducted the best election ever in Nigeria under a military junta. A rare gem whose conscience couldn't and can't be bought with money, men of your kind are very few. May Almighty God who Blesses men of Honour, continue to Bless you with health in age and every blessing due to your greatest honour.

That's an Igbo man, in case you want to know. Those who say Igbos are supremacists who see themselves as better than anyone else, this is it. If you can mention any other person who can stand his ground, even during the military junta, just tell me and I will drop my pride as the best tribe in the world.

If an Igbo man rules Nigeria, these white fools that cheat and cheapen Nigeria will run away. They know and that's why they use these low headed folks in Nigeria against the Igbo.

While you are busy celebrating MKO Abiola who didn't have the character to keep and sustain the mandate handed him by the people of Nigeria through the upholds of tremendous ethical standards and phenomenal moral values by Prof. Humphrey Nwosu, it is most noble to spare few seconds to honour the man who made it happen by not selling his conscience even in the face of every potent danger to his life.

It's my honour today to Prof. Humphrey Nwosu, an Igbo man with class and pride of values. And mind you that at each milestone of Nigeria's greatness in achievement is an Igbo man leading it.

The father of Nigerian Democracy Day is indeed Prof. Humphrey Nwosu and if MKO Abiola and Babagana Kingibe were honoured with GCFR and GCON, and even Mr. Aliko Dangote was awarded GCON, then I'm definitely sure that Prof. Humphrey Nwosu deserves to be honoured with, at least, a GCON if not GCFR. He is the Father of Nigerian Democracy Day!

  1. Excellent post, you forgot to mention that he was slapped for doing the right thing.

  2. He conducted election against court order, that was the illegality of June 12 election. And secondly, the dress code of the acclaimed winner of the election on election day was a violation of the electoral laws.

  3. MKO's dress code was a problem, agreed. What would you say about Mohammed Buhari who during secret ballot election, after casting his vote, publicly displayed and showed the whole world his thumb-printed ballot paper for people to see who he cast his vote for?
