THE PETER OBI MOVEMENT SET TO BE DRAFTED AS A PHILOSOPHY FOR LASTING NATIONAL IDENTITY. Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI


We have set up a movement to harness the movement of Peter Obi for 2023 Presidential Election into a national identity movement to be sustained beyond the 2023 general elections. 

In doing this, we have reached out to some academics, renowned intellectuals and Professors in Humanities, Arts, Sciences and various special areas covering Philosophy, Law, Sociology, Psychology, Education, Political Science, Sciences, Technology, Health, etc. They are all going to be experts and professionals in their respective intellectual communities. This will cover all areas of our social, political and economic importance. 

The starting point shall be conscientization, then, mobilization, followed by action plan, strategies for implementation and outdooring of the philosophies (ideas and ideals), policies anchored on tested principles. 

This shall be driven with the Philosophy of integrative Humanism. Here, you identify the problem, assess the reach and extent of the problem, then, you determine the instruments for the possible extirpation of the problems. 

I reach out to the African proponent of this philosophical school and this is what he said further; 

"In Integrative Humanism we talk of comprehensivism, necessary links, agglutination, partnership, synergy, productive harmonism through rational selectivism. Our goal is to ensure that we achieve strong, viable, resilient and Noble integration that will lead to the actualization of the common weal (good). It is unity harnessed from the motley of divergent opinions, exalted above the base proclivities of individual aggregants/integrators." He continued by saying "The goal of the integrative pursuit must be clear and unmistakable. All integrators must have experienced the inner revulsion of bad governance and have come to the conviction that this old order must be jettisoned. It's a revolutionary Philosophy with human face, for the good of all. I shall be available to provide the Philosophical scaffold necessary for the erecting of the Philosophical drivers for this political reorientation. Prof. G. O. Ozumba."

Prof. G. O. Ozumba is my academic father and a mentor who shaped my ideas as a young Philosopher. Though disinterested in politics, he believes in truth and has agreed to work with us to achieve the gyve of this movement. He is also drafting more like-minded thinkers and intellectuals into this pursuit.

With this, I can tell that we are set to draft the first ever home-made and homegrown political philosophy that takes our unique circumstances into serious cognisance. It is a new dawn for Nigeria.

A better Nigeria is PO-ssible...
