THE DIAMOND FROM THE FESTIVAL Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI

Diamond is a priceless stone

It is found as symbolising

Standing for Strength? Yes

Love is particular with it

Still in Health, it's remarkable

But here comes festival

A time to pick a diamond

We dearly need him

A diamond from the festival

Diamonds come on festivals

At festivals, they give health

Our homes are sick of no safety

Frail and starved amidst plenty

Trudging on treasures and so poor

Made wretched by skills of the mind

The mind that leads the way

Trashing much feed but famished

Our homes are dens of mines

We sleep unsure to wake

We wake uncertain of next

Peace has gone so far away

We need a diamond, it's festival

Our strength is fainting fast

Our gait is dwindling deeper

Our charm is faltering firmly

The days ahead are wanting

The nights sleep no longer

Do you know collective power

Daunting dangerously scarce

Weakly in need to rise and fight

The festival is a gift of strength

We need a diamond, it's festival

We just need to heal

Tell me love is everything

Love gets the sick bed fallow

Love brings more together

The unity brings strength

Unity also births might

Might, here comes the festival

Oh festival of choice

We see diamond in your grip

For our strength, health and love

We need that in your grip

Give us oh festival

Our choice is just diamond

And the diamond is him

He is Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu

Definition of concepts (symbolisms):

Festival is election.

Diamonds symbolise strength, love and health.

Strength, love and health are needs of Nigeria today.

Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu is the diamond
