WORDS DON’T PAINT

WORDS DON’T PAINT

If only words can paint a picture!
I will let the world see
As if I can invoke presence
I have nothing but words

That moment isn’t growing weak
It keeps afresh as ever
The feel that goes in me
If only words can paint a picture

That gait that stirred the gods
That gaze that pierced the heart
That stop that gave hope
If only words can paint a picture

She walked away like a dove
Taking the passion that kept my heartbeat
But couldn’t part with all
I can feel it just anew

How can I tell my mother what I saw?
Who’ll explain to my friends?
Now that my scribbles can’t be real
Just as colors cannot be enough
If only words can paint a picture

Now I know that it is weak
I never knew it can’t do a thing
Even as little as letting them see that image
Words are weak, passions are mannish

If only words can paint a picture

And if only words can paint a picture.
