AT YOUR FEET OH LORD GOD Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI

Dear Lord God Almighty

Won't it already be ingratitude

Does it not mean disrepute

If I don't recognise your love?

But I've judged you for your grace

I felt displeased on your kindness

I've lived unworthy of your tolerance

I've judged your perfection sinful

It explains my terrible misadventures

It's one thing you haven't taken away

You know it even more than I dare do

You've allowed me to love you dearly

I love you intensely Lord, you know it

You graciously permitted me as such

I don't wish to ever take it for granted

Lord God let me love you even forever

It's true that you created me

You've adorned me with reasoning

You formed my options and freewill

Planted the power to choose in me

Infused in every option, responsibility

Even when I choose not to choose

You condemned me to freewill, choice

In all these and in just one wrap is me

This is my substance and my essence

These are your hand making

But this is not your condemnation

And never a species of blame at you

I've rejected my revered inferences

I've abandoned my logical mind

That I may embrace faith in you

Take therefore my dear wisdom

Paint me in your material and form

Forge me abundantly humble

That your mercies find me worthy

Let it be forbidden that I stray

Purge me to sparkle immaculate

Stand me at the crux of the universe

The epicenter of all the greatest

Order water, fire, air and the earth

To my feet to bow and to worship

I'll return this great honour to you

May this be our armistice

Deal your path dear Lord

Don't let me stray either on mine

Neither to the left nor to the right

May this be your decision. Amen.
