ALHAJI ATIKU ABUBAKAR AND THE PDP: THE DASTARDLY INGRATES THAT CRY VICTIMS Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI

The morning rays grew gloomy but the blind diviner talked tough and god. Their seers looked into the raving sun and got blinded but blamed their woes and folly on the pitiful maiden who wished them well. They will rather see her last blood than to accept their rash and unsavoury acts. The PDP is that bad god who raped a child who ran to it for refuge and it will bleed through its penis till it dies.

I have read a few times and in some places where people have been abusing Mr. Peter Obi for standing in the election against Atiku Abubakar. Many of them go as far as insinuating that he betrayed Atiku. With every inch of consternation and shock, I have kept asking how the wicked call themselves saints and christened the inglorious in beatitudes. 

My worry most times about our people is that they do not regard decency and high moral ground means silly to them.

In 2011, Atiku Abubakar stood the election against former president Goodluck Jonathan. He claimed he wanted to finish the turn of the North which was cut short by the death of late president Umar Musa Yaradua. In 2015 he ran away from the PDP claiming again that it was the turn of the North. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari defeated him. In 2019, Atiku Abubakar returned to the PDP and requested that he had to win for the PDP to complete the turn of the North. Atiku Abubakar promised the South-East and the rest of them in PDP that will do just a tenure. He was given all the support and Mr. Peter Obi ran with him as his running mate. Mr. Peter Obi gave credibility, value and reliability to that ticket. Eventually they lost to the incumbent Buhari.

Fast forward to 2023, it was obvious that it was the turn of the South-East according to the PDP zoning. Greedy and arrogant Nyesom Wike took the stage abusing all the norms and values of the PDP and disregarded all rules known to the party. Instead of Atiku Abubakar and his folks from the North to stand out on the truth, they saw it as an opportunity to swindle the South-East. At least, Mr. Peter Obi has done everything to deserve the support of Atiku Abubakar. He gave him all the support in his own time. But what did Atiku Abubakar do?

Atiku Abubakar disregarded honour and wore shame as a garment. I listened to the words of retardants from Aminu Tambuwal when he was making unreasonable analogy of how impossible it was for the South-East to win the Presidential Election in Nigeria. They got an illogical slogan then "you win the power before you share it". And for them, it was only the North that can win the Presidential Election for the illthinkinig PDP.

We all moved around pleading with them to adopt reasoning and to fail, at least, doing the right if need be. They dance to their folly of claims to knowledge that eluded them. Mr. Peter Obi was already a brand yearned for by all Nigerians across ethnicity, religion and more. These folks of bad manner in the PDP wouldn't have such reasoning come into them. They chased Mr. Peter Obi away against all the pleadings and arguments of people like Dr. Doyin Okukpe.

The election came as clearly portrayed that Mr. Peter Obi was by far more popular than Atiku Abubakar but these numb team won't have any good thinking. What did they now turn to?

Instead of blaming themselves and brooking their shame in the dark, they immorally took the back stage of blame game. They now blame Mr. Peter Obi for the failure of Atiku Abubakar who was already spent. They couldn't blame their insensitivity and bad judgement for the failure they suffered by throwing away their best.

Now because Mr. Peter Obi has a higher moral ground and has never begrudged the bad manners of Atiku Abubakar and the PDP, they have kept selling their woes in the markets of the unimpressive unimaginables.

What has the Peter Obi political movement taught Nigerians? Where is Tambuwal and his illogical winning of power before sharing it? Where is the shame on Atiku Abubakar and his followers? How much of the truth have they learnt today that Mr. Peter Obi is that precious diamond they threw overboard? Will they shut up and learn? Will they cover their faces in shame than keep talking nonsense about betrayal when it was actually Atiku Abubakar that betrayed Mr. Peter Obi and the mindless PDP that are unworthy of the trust of the South-East?

When will Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and the PDP come to Nigerians and especially to the Southeast to render unreserved apologies? When will Atiku Abubakar call his senseless goons to order to stop maligning honour which Mr. Peter Obi represents? Why shouldn't Atiku Abubakar bow his head in woes and acknowledge his lifetime goofing of not doing what morality required of him which was to support Mr. Peter Obi?

When uncultured men get lost in the wilderness of their iniquity, they brace up to spit at honour as a prophylactic to their shame and dishonour without realising that they are only digging deeper into their wounds unto death. The dishonesty of the PDP and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar will hunt them till they plead the forgiveness of Mr. Peter Obi and the entire Southeast who gave them everything from the onset till their sunset.
