CHIEF VICTOR OYE, PLEASE RESIGN.
By Hon. Ejikeme Alozie-Nwagboso
I wish to urge the National chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Victor Oye, to resign forthwith.
Not only should you resign, the financial accounts of the Party should be audited immediately by a reputable auditing firm. If any claims of obtaining by tricks, in whatever manner, fashion, or form, can be established against you, you should be prosecuted. This is not personal, but for the collective interest of the Party. There’s so much smoke, and fire must be somewhere.
It is on record that you, as the National chairman has led the Party astray, and corruptly too. The Party is more divided today, than ever before. Accusations of highest bidder sales, indiscriminate disqualifications, mismanagement, mixed messages and painfully, a lack of leadership on organizational and critical issues have been rife, and the ship must be righted. And, it starts now.
Your wingmen, I believe, will come swinging, but that is okay. We must preach accountability, and be seen doing so. It is way above swinging, but that of acceptable standards. This is what leadership is all about. When the people you lead loose confidence in your leadership, and accuse you of many corrupt dealings, you step aside. We need you stepping aside now. Please, do it.
I hear you’re gunning for another term as the National Chairman of the Party for a second term. This should be roundly stood down by every APGAn. You shouldn’t even think about this yourself. We need no more garbages.
Given the numerous detailed, severe and corroborated allegations against your leadership of the Party, you should immediately step aside.
No Party, or organization can move forward with bad leadership. It has never happened anywhere in history.
Today, the Party lacks a clear direction, there’s loss of confidence, and this is a bad thing for such a big Party as ours. It is not just an Anambra Party, but should be seen as a thriving national Party. You know this to be true, too. We need to revitalize the lost energy and move ahead.
I understand your pride will try being in the way of resignation, but show a little bit of leadership within yourself and step aside. You can do it for the good of the Party. Just do it.
We need the process of recovery within the Party to begin with immediate effect. I believe APGA will rebuild and position itself again for good, in preparation for future elections. This is our hope.
Thank you.
