ON THE IGBO EVICTION NOTICE BY THE AREWA YOUTH AND THE DEFINITION OF IGBO BY THE HAUSA/FULANI. Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI

I am more worried about our South-West brothers and sisters who are expecting the death of the Igbos in the North from the 1st of October, 2017 as ordered by the Arewa Youth proclamation of the 5th instant.

Participant observers over the years have narrated the happenings in such times. According to their submissions, the Igbos did not only fight for the South-East and South-South before and during the Biafran war. The clearest truth is that the ordinary people of Igboland fought a war of all but suffered definition.

That the Igbos suffered definition means that for the Hausa/Fulani, anybody who is not Hausa/Fulani Muslim is Igbo and arne!

As the eviction notice has been sounded, the Yorubas who are jubilant at the moment are the real victims to come. This reminds me of the history of the beginning of the Biafra war as rendered by the participant observers of the pogrom.

Those who witnessed it told us that it was not merely the Igbo speaking people that were killed but they were just the people who stood up to challenge the killings.

In this vein, it has become very pertinent for everyone in Nigeria who is not Hausa/Fulani to go through or revisit the lexicon and corpus of the Hausa/Fulani definition of Igbo and Igbos.

Once again, as we the Igbo speaking people of the Southern Nigeria prepare to defend ours, we have in mind the burden of the definition imposed on the name Igbo by the Arewa Youth proclamation.

However, as we plan to defend ourselves, we are set, once again, to defend our brothers and sisters from the South-East, South-South and the Middle Belt. This is so because we know that the definition of the name Igbo by the Arewa Youth takes record of them.

The weapons of the Hausa/Fulani Muslims against the South-East and South-South which have always been sowing divisive seeds are dying and fast going into extinction. We're more aware now than ever. Even the minorities in the North have become so savvy that they now appreciate how much they have been subjugated and exploited by the Hausa/Fulani Muslims.

We're one and the same: the South-East and South-South with our brothers and sisters from the Middle Belt. Nigeria is on the verge of redefinition and the die is cast.

Onward REFERENDUM as we await the Arewa Youth and their sponsors.
