APGA COMMITS TO WINNING EDO STATE, FORMS CRACKDOWN TEAM. Written by KEMKA S. IBEJI


In what seems a political assault to diminish the importance of the insignificant few who left the party's executive in Edo State some days ago, the National leadership of APGA has constituted a team of political experts to manage the campaigns of her candidate in the Edo gubernatorial election.

The team tagged AD-HOC COMMITTEE FOR EDO GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION was commissioned with a mandate to put in everything to deliver the party's flagbearer Earl Osaro Onaiwu as the Governor of Edo State in the near election.

Unveiling the crackdown team for the Edo capture, the National Chairman said;
"Because of the importance of the Edo governorship  election and the impact we have made in the Edo State, particularly after our last memorable visit, it has become necessary to set up an interim election committee to oversee the affairs of the party in the state until after the rescheduled governorship election".

He continued "This step has become inevitable considering the importance of the election and the compelling need to catalyze the party to place it on a solid footing to return victory".

The party departments were charged with positive force as this declaration was made. It was obvious the prior to this announcement, Osaro Onaiwu was almost a political orphan within the Edo state chapter of APGA which was already enmeshed with gross misconduct and irritating anti party clappings.

With this news, the other political parties in the race will definitely meet a different Osaro Onaiwu in the finishing days of the election preparations and campaign.

Though the APGA campaign strategy has been very elusive to the opponents, it is observable that the grassroots are more attuned to voting Osaro Onaiwu who the see as a symbol of a new dawn in Edo State.

Osaro Onaiwu in his very subtle strategy of rural mobilization of voters, has endeared himself to the rural masses of Edo state voters.

Seeming like a tonic was infused into his pursuit to win Edo State for APGA in the coming election, Earl Osaro Onaiwu saw the announcement of the crackdown team as a welcome development.

According to the list made available by the party, names of the ad hoc committee members, which include names of four members of the current state EXCO, are as follows:
