MY SUPPORT FOR MUHAMMADU BUHARI...r

Even as a student activist I had a brand for myself. Yes we used to.
That brand brought me close to some great friends and associates.
Many of them I find doing good and succeeding in their various choices of endeavour.
Some of them have also maintained that political moral standard while some have caved in for environmental pressures surrounding our political atmosphere. It is a pity. Sometimes I have advised myself to rather pity such situation than blame them.
Without blowing my own trumpets, I vowed not to yield but more to it is that I continually meditate against the advances and urge.
From 1999, the PDP won political power in Nigerian and have done their best within the timeframe. I didn't really give my full support to them since I firstly was averse to their type of politics and secondly because I've not been partisan.
The history of my distance with the PDP dates back to their unacceptable form party primaries in 1998/99 between Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Former Vice President Dr. Alex Ekwueme.
It was clear to me that the contest was not fair as it was marred with and by irregularities. The way and manner the PDP received and accepted the sham drew me a bit back from them.
In 2003, they brought that onslaught against the electorate beyond political party boundaries and launched the first inter party robbery. The man involved and who was made the new victim was Muhammadu Buhari.
In 2007, the obvious was again subverted and the ill applauded. I witnessed the victory of Muhammadu Buhari squeezed out of his orphaned and helpless grip. With intense attention I shrugged at the relish with which the PDP was fast perfecting electoral crime and establishing it into national political and leadership bloodstream.
In 2011, the spirit of blur which characterized the nature and person of the Former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan threw everyone into unfathomable wind of confusion such that no one could proclaim anymore against except for. I think that should be accepted since no clear mind would give it to any opponent of that season. The air only smelled his name GEJ. I do not wish to say or imply that the election went without the trademark which the PDP has entrenched. But he won.
The thief, even the worst among the criminals should know the strength of time on every being. Sure! It was time and 2015 called. The people spoke hot with their thumbs and the world could not block her ears. Many factors played and the history will be best written by the historians. Time and season for everything. That season passed.
For those who cared to listen to us along that dreadful wilderness, they will recall that we gave our support to the man Muhammadu  Buhari on just a singular proviso and mandate.
Our poise to support, promote, vote, elect and install President Muhammadu  Buhari was not to do what the PDP and her co-travelers are calling for today.
It is obvious that African thinkers were right in their wise saying that those who were absent at burial exhume from the feet regions. This today is true of both the PDP and the rest who have found a new hunger in wrongly criticizing the government of the day.
Let me remind everyone of us again about the reason for our heavy call and support that Muhammadu Buhari should be given a chance.
I, just like many others believed and knew that the critical and bedeviling organ militating against the good people of Africa in general and Nigeria in particular is the problem of corruption in, within and around leadership.
We came to the knowledge and understanding that our Commonwealth has been built on quicksand and therefore cannot survive good test of taste. We became convinced that to built a worthy and proud arousing Nigeria of our dream, we must pull down the walls of magnificent emptiness, destroy makeshifts of fake beauties, and upturn the wallow of the unchaste.
In other words, we were very certain that every answer given to any wrong question must inevitably be wrong. This is to say that any building on wrong and bad foundation cannot stand.
This is the reason for voting Muhammadu Buhari. Reading through all those who have opted to render services to our dear country, we found just in Muhammadu Buhari a man with such zeal and gusto to diminish the wondrous power acquired by corruption in our land. Oh yes! Just as you will know or say, he is not a saint. Sure he might not be and am not in the game of trying to prove that he is. NO! But he maintains the lead in being an oasis in this political moral desert. He was installed as the only fainting hope in the cemetery of dead and buried promise.
If you have forgotten, we voted Muhammadu Buhari just to fight down the only problem of Nigeria - corruption. Though owing to the enormity and overwhelming stature of corruption among us, he might not do it all, but be assured that he has started the war.
In the last analysis therefore, it will be out of place to call and hurl names on the crime fighter in manners akin to distraction.
Muhammadu Buhari would only be adjudged a failure if he loses the solemn war against corruption. This underlies my support for our dear President Muhammadu Buhari and is therefore my burden placed on his aged shoulders.
My dear brothers, sisters and friends, let us raise the bar and now point at all corners of our national life where corruption threatens and to draw the attention of all and sundry to this war. Let me emphasize once again, we must win this war.
We do not want any building from you President Muhammadu Buhari, we just want you to pull down the old and wrong footings of our national beingness.
The builders are coming after you end the preparations. Remember, you are and will be the last gerontocrat. The new builders are going to be upright and morally established youth...
